View predicted sea level rises

What you can do

We know that the warming climate will melt sea ice and cause sea-levels around the world to rise. Collecting data that can be used to predict what will happen to the ocean in the future can help us safeguard human wellbeing and livelihoods. If we stopped burning fossil fuels today, the ocean would continue warming and rising, for a period of time. When we are trying to predict how much the ocean will warm or sea levels will rise, it’s important to continue adding data to our models.

Computer models that were previously only available to ocean scientists are becoming increasingly available to the public. You can explore for yourself how much the sea-level will rise in any location around the world here.
